Marianist Lay Community of North America

Animators of the Marianist charism

The Marianist Lay Community of North America (MLC-NA) is the lay branch of the Marianist Family in North America.

MLC-NA is part of the North American region of the International Organization of Marianist Lay Communities (IO-MLC), a lay association of the faithful. MLC-NA members make up local and virtual Small Christian Communities, known as Marianist Lay Communities (MLCs), across North America. MLCs are autonomous and self-governed, although their identity as a Marianist Community coincides with enrollment and participation in MLC-NA.

The mission of the MLC-NA is to energize Marianist laity to be church in the modern world by being vibrant animators of the Marianist charism, and to breathe new life into our Marianist vocation and commitment.

MLC-NA offers formation opportunities, sponsors triennial national assemblies, maintains a national membership roster/database, publishes an electronic newsletter, and maintains relationships with the Marianist Family Council of North America and the International Organization of Marianist Lay Communities.
